After decades of use and wear, this multi-story parking garage in the Bronx began to show signs of spalling and delamination on its main concrete slab and metal deck. Studio Nyandak worked closely with the property owner and tenant to establish a series of comprehensive repair solutions. We developed creative solutions to address unexpected field conditions, including the design of steel angle kickers to support a portion of the composite deck. These strategic steps, including the addition of a trench drain, air ducts, and concrete slab repair, ensure protection against weathering for years to come.
